In October the London Piano Festival celebrated its fifth edition with a unique gala in aid of the 2021 festival.
Throughout the previous four years the Festival has brought together a wide range of exceptional pianists, including Federico Colli, Alexandra Dariescu, Nelson Goerner, Christian Ihle Hadland, Pavel Kolesnikov, Steven Kovacevich, Julian Joseph, Ilya Itin, Leszek Możdżer, Noriko Ogawa, Jason Rebello, Gwilym Simcock, Kathryn Stott and Susan Tomes, to showcase this most versatile and popular of instruments. There have been a series of exceptional two-piano commissions, too, including Elena Langer’s Red Mare and Jonathan Dove’s Between Friends.
After a very difficult seven months 2020 for musicians everywhere, we want to focus our efforts on ensuring the full festival can be staged once again in 2021, with an exciting new commission by Sally Beamish. However, we and our venue collaborators at Kings Place need the support of our audiences and patrons.
The Festival needs your help. Your contribution will go directly towards helping us to bring the Festival back by Autumn 2021.
